All wooden handled bullwhips from Nick’s Whip Shop are made using high quality woods from Bell Forest Products in Northern Michigan. All handles are turned on the lathe from a rectangular blank, into a smooth and comfortable handle.
To ensure a solid handle-to-thong bond, all whips are built onto a 1/4in stainless steel threaded rod and inserted 3.5in inside of the handle and permanently held in place with 2-part epoxy. An optional transition ferrule is also available in brass or nickel silver. These whips are built with a BB-loaded nylon core, two plaited bellies, and a 16-plait overlay.
